A Decade of UK Austerity. The effects are very obvious.

A Decade of UK Austerity. The effects are obvious to us all. No-one wants to admit to struggling in business, least of all in the wedding industry. We have seen many sites that claim great things and one or two are undoubtedly true to word. In the wedding photography and other wedding related services industry such as hairstyling, beauty services, make-up artists, catering, entertainment, etc: the website is the first port of call. Spectacular it must be. Busy and in-demand we must seem to be. To be otherwise reflects poorly on our business. One short post/read of Facebook responses shows the reality of the situation. I recently posted on a local wedding group, "Would love some feedback on my site" and the posting shows my site, like it does when you add your link. Within an hour I had some 40 photographers comment, all sending me prices and services because they assumed I was getting married. "Would love some feedback on my site", and I get 40 photographers offer to shoot my wedding. What does this say? They all need more wedding shoots. Facebook has diminished basic concentration skills? You get my point. Facebook is not the best place to advertise, unless you are paying good money to do so and even then the distractions are immense. Not good for focus when attracting clients. And despite the reluctance to admit it, we all need more clients.
